Walking Forest Park

Here’s another pic of my stylish friend Courtney. We rode bikes all day with our Bay Area visitors, then ~~hiked~~ walked Forest Park. It was an awesome day because, well, because it didn’t rain.

I love her rust colored jeans, Frye boots, and leather backpack.

Valentine’s On Saturday

I have some friends visiting from the Bay Area and Saturday night we made our way down to Valentine’s. The show was pretty good, but the shit show that was SW on a Saturday night was less than fun. There was a lot of ladies in mini skirts that had no idea how to walk in heels. To quote my friend Damon, “we saw a lot of chapped lips”, if you catch my drift. Anywayzzzz, here’s who was lookin’ good.

My cute friends Courtney (L) and visitor Lauren (R). It’s a crappy pic, but they both have impeccable style – more pics to come.

You know I got mad love for striped shirts and her hair was great, I mean look at it! Cute baby bangs and a great color choice.

A perfect outfit. Her jeans fit perfectly.

A good white button down and another great hair cut and color. I’ve really been loving bleach blondes lately.

And a killer brown bootie to finish the look.

I liked this guys color pallet. Some shades of grey, a powder blue blazer, and a white hat. His shoes were super worn in and rad, and his socks were the perfect statement piece to give the look a lil’ somethin’ extra.

I thought this outfit was easy and accessible. Great camel coat, easy cognac boot, a striped sweater and some cute specs. Add an awesome leather belt for good measure and you’re out the door in comfort and style.

Sunday Brunch – Starky’s

Starky’s may not be the best brunch in town, but if you like ~~Champagne~~ sparkling wine, like I like sparkling wine, then it’s certainly the best deal. With purchase of an entree you can get $7 all-you-can drink champs. Maybe you’re thinking, “this is too good to be true” or “oh, it’s probably all OJ in the mimosas” or “I bet the glasses are small” if you are, you would be wrong on all accounts! They put the bottle of champs on ice, ON YOUR TABLE, and they walk away. Orange juice is there if you want it, but I would never. Anyways, I was a bit tipsy when I walked outta Ol’ Starky’s, but this lady in red caught my eye as we were leaving. Her jacket was lovely, (I’m into toggle coats lately). Her boots were dreamy, (she told me they were Frye).

A Tribute to Whitney at How Can Be

After finding out the legend Whitney Houston had died on Saturday night, my boyfriend and I decided karaoke would be the only acceptable way to honor the pop diva. So we made our way over the Chopsticks III - The How Can Be Lounge for some singing and libations. I paid homage to Whitney by singing “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” as a duet with my new friend Chiquita who was also mourning the stars death.

I was a huge Whitney fan when I was a kid. The “I’m Your Baby Tonight Tour” was the second concert I ever went to. It was at the Oakland Coliseum, it was 1991, I was ten years old.

I saw my friend Michael at the bar. She has the most perfect hair, it reminds me of Freja Beha Erichsen.

I liked her bright blue Nike’s.

House Spirits Valentine’s Day Event

On Saturday afternoon House Spirits Distillery had a lovely lil’ soiree, which consisted of booze and food (how could you go wrong amirite?!). Some of the vendors on hand were Salt & Straw, Olympic Provisions, Olo Fragrance, Woodblock, and Xocolatl, to name a few. In true Portland fashion there were some very cute, but low key lookers on hand -not so much dressed to impress, but more, clothed to charm.

Great cable knit sweater.

Loved the green toggle coat and mixing prints (stripes with cheetah) is very on trend.

I loved Olo Fragrance founder Heather Sielaff”s Swedish Hasbeens.

Super cute House Spirits employee. Loved her horizontal striped shirt.

And her oxfords.

The One Motorcycle Show at Sandbox Studio

Sandbox Studio hosted its 3rd annual exhibition of, from what I could tell were really rad bikes, and some not-so-rad ones too. But maybe what I read on The Portland Mercury can sum it up better than me.

“An exhibition of creations and innovations from some of the best bike builders from all over the west coast, as well as motorcycle-inspired artworks by local artists.”

Yea, OK, thanks, so take a look at the biker babez that were in attendance.

“Prints Charming” Takes Over Isaac Hers

The new lookbook “Prints Charming” is here and boy is it cah-ute! YO VINTAGE! has done it again. And I got first dibs to shop it at Isaac Hers on Wednesday! Yaaaahhhooooo! I got there early, cause I had to babysit, and, well, beacause it’s close to my work. So I really got first, 1st dibs! It was exciting…should I use another exclamation point???(!)
