I attended The Portland Fashion & Style Awards Friday night at The Schnitz and since it’s Portland you never know what you’re going to get at a “Red Carpet” style event. But I have to say I was pleasantly surprised despite seeing an alarming amount of dreads in the audience.
Katie & Elissa of Backtalk PDX were nominated for Best Boutique N/NE and WON!!
The Buzzcutt folks were nominated for Best Fashion Related Publication.

Cassie Ridgway of Mag-Big was nominated for Best Boutique SE in one of her own redesigned vintage dresses.

It was a fun night with some very well dressed folks. At times the acceptance speeches were of such an elevated emotional quality, the sincerity so raw and appreciative, that you really felt so glad you’d not missed the moment and shared something truly special with that individual.
